Last updated: January 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Pupil-Instructor Connector UK Instructor Network. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation as a driving instructor on our platform. By registering and using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Pupil-Instructor Connector UK is operated by PUPIL INSTRUCTOR CONNECTOR LTD, a company registered in Scotland. We provide a platform that connects DVSA-registered driving instructors with learner drivers across the United Kingdom.

2. Instructor Eligibility and Requirements

To join our platform as an instructor, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) badge or be a licensed Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) under supervision
  • Provide proof of current ADI/PDI registration with badge number and expiry date
  • Submit clear photographs of your ADI/PDI badge (front and rear) and a selfie holding your badge
  • Maintain valid business insurance covering driving instruction activities
  • Hold appropriate vehicle insurance for tuition purposes
  • Provide a valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check dated within the last 3 years
  • Ensure your vehicle meets DVSA standards for driving instruction
  • Comply with all DVSA regulations, standards, and code of practice

You must notify us immediately of any changes to your ADI/PDI status, insurance coverage, or if your badge is suspended or revoked by the DVSA.

3. Registration and Verification Process

All instructors must complete our verification process before being listed on the platform:

  • Submit a completed registration form with accurate personal and professional information
  • Upload required documentation including ADI/PDI badge photos, DBS certificate, and insurance documents
  • Provide your DVSA instructor number for verification
  • Complete identity verification including a selfie with your badge
  • Agree to background checks and DVSA register verification

We reserve the right to reject any application that does not meet our standards or fails verification checks. The verification process typically takes 1-3 business days.

4. Commission and Payment Terms

Commission Structure: Pupil-Instructor Connector UK operates on a commission-based model. We charge a commission fee for each successful booking arranged through our platform. The commission rate will be clearly communicated to you upon registration and may vary based on your membership tier.

Booking Deposits: When a learner books lessons through our platform, they pay a deposit to secure the booking. This deposit is retained by Pupil-Instructor Connector UK as our service fee for arranging the connection and providing platform services.

Lesson Payments: Payment for the actual driving lessons is arranged directly between you and the learner. You are responsible for collecting lesson fees according to your agreed rates and payment terms with each student.

Subscription Plans: We offer various subscription tiers with different commission rates and benefits. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, with changes taking effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

5. Instructor Responsibilities

As an instructor on our platform, you agree to:

  • Respond to booking requests within 24 hours

  • You have the right to respond professionally to reviews
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our content policy

8. Disputes and Complaints

Learner Complaints: If a learner raises a complaint about your services, we will notify you and may investigate the matter. You must cooperate fully with any investigation and provide requested information promptly.

Dispute Resolution: While the contract for driving lessons is between you and the learner, we may assist in mediating disputes. However, we are not liable for any claims arising from the instruction services you provide.

Refund Requests: Learners may request refunds for the booking deposit only if an instructor has not been allocated within 14 days. Once you have been assigned and contacted the learner, the deposit is non-refundable. Any refund requests for lesson fees must be handled directly between you and the learner.
